DICE are reportedly working on “at least” nine new game modes for Battlefield 6.

According to data found by Insider Gaming, the studio has several new game modes “in various stages of development” for the shooter’s post-launch content.

Initially, six additional modes were said to be in progress, those being Sabotage, Strikepoint, Raid, Payload, Squad Shootout, and Tank Hunt.

Of those, Sabotage and Strikepoint have already been confirmed by developer DICE for upcoming updates.

However, supposed new evidence found in the game’s internal files – under the codename “Glacier” – suggests five more prototypes are in early stages of development.

These reportedly include Convoy, Fantastic Four, Gunmaster, Touchdown, and Tug of War.

While details remain scarce, Gunmaster appears to be a revival of the classic “Gun Game” mode, where players rotate through a set list of weapons with each kill.

Tug of War, meanwhile, is believed to resemble Breakthrough, requiring teams to capture and reclaim objectives in a back-and-forth battle across the map.

The discovery comes just weeks after the launch of the Battlefield 6’s first season, which marked the franchise’s strongest debut to date.

The expanded lineup reflects publisher Electronic Arts’ commitment to supporting Battlefield 6 well beyond launch – part of the studio’s renewed push to rebuild the franchise’s reputation following Battlefield 2042.

With new seasonal content, regular live events, and an active player base across PC and consoles, Battlefield 6 is shaping up to be the series’ most ambitious live-service instalment yet.
